Bulletin Briefs
Each of the following are brief discussions on a number of different topics. You can read or download them. Just click on the link “WORD” and look for the download link at the top of the page. You can use them to put in your church bulletin or use for witnessing.
The download document is in Microsoft Word and is setup so that you can print the same thing on both sides and then cut them in half. This will give you a 8.5in X 5.5in sheet printed on both sides. This should fit into any standard church bulletin.
Index | Description | MS Word |
v01i01 | Commentary on why Christians need to give a defense for God’s Word | WORD |
v01i02 | Rebuilding the foundations of Christianity by starting at the beginning with Genesis | WORD |
v01i03 | Examining the evidence is not pointless. The evidence may not be meaningful to you, but it might be to somebody else. You do realize, it’s not just about what you will get out of it. | WORD |
v01i04 | Answers the question of who was Cain’s wife and from where did she come. | WORD |
v01i05 | This was a letter from friends of ours that are missionaries to Vietnam. This was in reference to the Christmas season. | WORD |
v02i01 | How can we see stars millions of light-years away in a universe that the Bible claims to be only a few thousand years old? | WORD |
v02i02 | If we descended from Adam and Eve, why do we have so many different races of people? How is that possible? (Large portions taken from the book “One Blood” by Ken Ham, Dr. Carl Wieland, and Dr. Don Batten, visit www.answersingenesis.com) | WORD |
v02i03 | Everything we see, hear, and experience will have an impact on the way we think. And the way in which we think is revealed in our actions. Actions repeated become habits and out of habits, character is formed. It does make a difference how one thinks! “For as [a man] thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7a). | WORD |
v02i04 | Dinosaurs and the Bible | WORD |
v02i05 | Bible Codes, or Equidistant Letter Sequences (ELS’s), are said to date back to at least the 12th century when rabbinical scholars first wrote about discovering meaningful words hidden in the Hebrew text of the Torah (1st five books of the Bible). | WORD |
v02i06 | Medical Aspects of The Crucifixion: The Agony of Love by Dr. Mark Eastman (with permission from Koinonia House –www.khouse.org) |
WORD |
v02i07 | Never look down on a man that Christ died for. This was my shameful admission to a sin that the Lord pointed out to me during the time of my uncle’s passing. | WORD |
v02i08 | He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. (Malachi 3:3) This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study. | WORD |
v02i10 | Abraham was known as the friend of God; however, many Christian feel that this title is for only a select few. | WORD |
v02i11 | Jesus Christ, our Passover (Major portions provided bywww.jesuscafe.org) | WORD |
v02i14 | A Biblical Mystery: His Unfamiliar Face (by Chuck Missler –www.khouse.org) After Jesus’ resurrection, why did people always seem to have difficulty recognizing Him? We can’t help but notice something strange about Jesus’ post-resurrection appearances. | WORD |
v02i15 | What is Predestination? | WORD |
v02i17 | Leaders of the church are responsible for equipping the believers to do the “work of the ministry”, in order to “edify the body of Christ”. And they should all do this, “till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph 4:13). | WORD |
v02i18 | For a Christian to be conformed to the image of the Son of God (Rom 8:29) means to become as He is. We are to love that which He loves and to hate that which He hates. | WORD |
v02i20 | According to the apostle Peter, the prophecies in scripture are more important than an eye witness account. | WORD |
v02i21 | Biblical Numerics: God’s Watermark of Authenticity (Major portions provided by KHouse (www.khouse.org) and Rev David Scott) | WORD |
v02i23 | I am blessed when others think that I am cursed. What does it mean to be blessed of God? Some may say that health, wealth, and praise among your peers are the outward signs of God’s favor upon you. This is exactly how Job’s companions felt, yet God rebuked them for their incorrect assessment of Job’s predicament. | WORD |
v02i25 | The author of Hebrews was trying to explain Jesus Christ’s position as High Priest in comparison to that of Melchizedek; the King of Salem in Abraham’s time. As he expounds on this truth, he ceases his explanation because the audience in which he is writing to does not understand the point he is trying to convey. They are still babes in Christ when they should be mature in their understanding | WORD |
v02i29 | As Christ spoke of the church age, he mentioned many times that false believers would be among the true believers. The world complains about the hypocrites they think are “in the Church”. Yet hypocrites are not in the “Church” (which is made up of true believers). Hypocrites merely dwell as goats among the Lord’s sheep (Matt 25:31-46), bad fish among the good (Matt 13:47-50), tares among the wheat until the day God separates them. | WORD |
v02i30 | Do you desire to be used of God for the building up of His kingdom? Do you pray for the lost in this world? Do you ask the Lord to use you in any and every way imaginable to share the gospel message? If not…WHY?? | WORD |
v02i31 | There is a way that seems right to many; however without Christ, who is the “Way” (John 14:6), the end thereof is death. Give yourself over to Christ today; take up His Word, walk in the Light, and follow His instruction (2 Tim 3:16). Then, and only then, will things no longer “seem” right; they will “be” right in His sight. | WORD |
